Today’s reading really got me thinking. Recently, a friend of mine shared that she was so bullied by some other friends over her political choices that she actually lied to them. She felt so horrible that she had to hide her truth just so she wouldn't feel threatened by her quote-unquote "friends." It completely broke my heart when she told me that. We should never, ever get to a place where people are terrified to speak their minds. And it’s not just about politics—it's truly about everything. Any difference of opinion is so quickly ostracized now.
We have to change this narrative. Learn to love who you are, and learn to love who others are. Accept that we are all completely different people, and instead of fearing that, embrace it. Celebrate that we are all different, individual beings navigating this universe together. Because at the end of the day, that beautiful, messy, vibrant diversity is exactly what makes life so great.
